The trip to Hervey Bay

Me and Jodie made a road trip to Hervey Bay! It's only 121 k's, so it wasn't a big one!

We were camping next to the beach! We had a great time, swimming, had some nice food, and then we went to the cinema to watch Gnomeo and Juliet in 3D, the first 3D cinema experience for Jodie! The local cinema in Bundy doesn't have a projector capable of showing 3D movies!

It's really nice to once in a while step out of your own comfort zone, it's nice to sleep in a tent, to be close to the nature and just break the everyday routine and do something else!

On the night they had played music and a little water theatre, they played ABBA!!! And on the camping there was a Swedish Volvo 940 car (famous in Swedish as the socialist tractor).

Today on the TV there was a Danish police movie! Weird to see a Danish movie with English Subtitles!

ABBA on the wet side!

So nice to be the photographer, so I can take pictures and slip away from my duties!

The Swedish Sossetractor!

They have a freaking camera on the toilette! That's NOT COOL!

They had guards checking people's bags so they don't bring in their own candy, soda or popcorn

The damn shark is trying to bite me again!

Awesom-o!!!

I AM STIG!! The Swedish is everywhere!

  1. Wonderful to see the sea and the sun ! This morning we had -12 degrees celcius, cold...
It's good to see that you are having a good time now and then, and Abba, Volvo and Stig reminds you of "back home". The tent is also a copy of the tent we have. I will sleep in it this summer when we bike the "Vättern tour", I bike with Roger from Sandby this year.
Yesterday we were out for a walk (Kjugekull) with picknick, we could actually have our sandwiches in the grass, only 5 degrees, but sun and no wind made it quite nice.
Yesterday the famous Vasaloppet on skis took place, this normally means that the spring is round the corner.
Nice to see all pictures and videos, keep up your good work !
    Lots of hugs from Sweden
